Where markets meet

Private advisory in Georgia for international clients. We work from the ground where European, Middle Eastern, Asian and African interests overlap, and we work in both directions.

Outlook

Capital moves faster than the rules that govern it

Companies and families now hold assets, people and customers in several jurisdictions at once. Each jurisdiction asks different questions, and asks them at different times.

The work is no longer picking a country. It is holding a position that survives contact with all of them. That is what we are for.

The centre

Georgia is a position, not a destination

Tbilisi sits within a short flight of Istanbul, Dubai, Athens and the Gulf. Georgia holds free trade access to the European Union, China, Turkey, the EFTA states and the CIS. Very few jurisdictions hold that combination at once.

That is what makes Georgia somewhere to hold a structure, rather than simply somewhere to move to. The country is also small, and that is part of the argument. Institutions are reachable, decisions arrive quickly, and a serious project gets attention.

Georgia in detail

Corridors

Five corridors, one centre

Our work follows corridors rather than borders. Each one carries a different kind of client, a different pace and a different set of expectations. Georgia is the point they pass through.

Outside Tbilisi, Cannes and Geneva we work through relationships rather than offices. We say so plainly, because knowing who actually holds the relationship is the difference between an introduction and an outcome.

What we do

Six objectives

Clients arrive with an objective, not with a service category. We organise the firm the same way. Most mandates begin with one of these and grow into two or three.

01

Enter

Market entry

Establishing a presence in Georgia or in a market Georgia gives access to. Assessment of the opportunity, choice of vehicle, registration, banking, and the first commercial relationships.

02

Invest

Investment advisory

Real estate, operating businesses and private opportunities in Georgia and the wider region. Sourcing, review, valuation context, and the structure the investment is held through.

03

Structure

Cross-border corporate and financial

Holding structures, group architecture, treasury and intra-group flows across several jurisdictions. We design the position and coordinate with qualified professionals in each jurisdiction to put it in place.

04

Relocate

International mobility

Moving a principal, a family or a management team. Residence, schooling, housing, banking and the sequencing that keeps a personal move from breaking a corporate position.

05

Connect

Partners and network

Introductions that carry weight: banks, counterparties, suppliers, buyers, institutions and advisers. In Georgia this is often the whole mandate, and it is rarely something a client can build alone from outside.

06

Operate

Private office

Ongoing coordination once a structure is live. Reporting, renewals, deadlines, counterparties and the running relationship with local professionals, held by one team that already knows the file.

Who we work with

Both directions of the same bridge

International clients coming into Georgia, and Georgian businesses going out. The second group is growing faster, and it is underserved.

The entrepreneur

Building a company that will sell outside the country it is registered in, and wants the base settled before the revenue arrives.

The investor

Deploying into Georgian real estate or private opportunities, and wanting local judgement rather than a brochure.

The international family

Holding assets and residences in more than one country, with succession and mobility to think about together.

The international company

Entering Georgia or the region, sourcing from it, or using it as the point through which a corridor runs.

The family office

Looking for a counterpart on the ground who can hold a position between mandates and report honestly on it.

The Georgian business going international

Ready to sell, raise or establish abroad, and needing the European reading of its own file before it does.

Why the firm

Two institutional cultures in one room

Georgian institutions, read from inside

Victor Gogoladze is a Franco-Georgian economist who has worked at the National Bank of Georgia and inside the Georgian government. He knows how a decision is actually taken here, and how long it takes.

French corporate discipline

Giorgi Gogoladze is an Expert-Comptable in France. European clients get their file read to the standard their own auditors, banks and boards will later apply to it.

We stay past the paperwork

Registration is the easy part and the part everyone sells. The difficulty starts in year two. We price and staff for that.

About the firm

How we work

Four stages, in order

01

Orientation

A first conversation, without commitment. We establish what the objective actually is, and say early if Georgia is the wrong answer to it.

02

Position

A written view: the structure, the jurisdictions involved, the sequence, the costs and the exposures we can see.

03

Execution

We run the file. Registration, banking, permits and counterparties, coordinated with qualified professionals where their licence is required.

04

Continuity

The private office mandate. Deadlines, reporting and the standing relationship, held by the people who built the structure.
