Two calculators, used as a starting point

Orders of magnitude, not conclusions. They are here because clients ask the same two questions early, and a number is a better basis for a conversation than an adjective.

Independent professional, six regimes compared

Georgia's Individual Entrepreneur regime with Small Business status applies a 1% rate to turnover up to roughly 500,000 GEL a year, around 185,000 US dollars. The comparison below places that beside five other jurisdictions at the same turnover.

The rate is a fact, not a strategy. Whether the regime is available to you depends on your activity, your residence and where your clients are, and those questions decide the outcome far more than the headline number does.

Basis and limits. These are simplified illustrative effective rates for an independent professional at a moderate to high income, combining income tax and mandatory social contributions where relevant. They do not reflect every band, deduction, allowance or personal circumstance, and they assume the regime shown is available to the taxpayer. Nothing here is tax advice. Maison Gogoladze does not provide regulated tax services and coordinates with qualified professionals where an opinion is required.

Beyond the numbers

What the calculators cannot tell you

Whether the regime applies to your activity. Whether your home country will accept the position. Where the substance sits. What a bank will ask when the first payment arrives. Which building is worth owning and which developer is worth contracting with.

Those are the questions that decide the outcome, and none of them fit in a slider.
