The firm

An advisory house built around one position

Maison Gogoladze is a private advisory firm anchored in Georgia and working across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

What we are

A small firm, deliberately

We advise entrepreneurs, investors, families and companies whose interests sit in more than one country. The firm is deliberately small. Every mandate is held by a principal, and the person you meet first is the person who runs the file.

Our position is Georgia: a jurisdiction with free trade access to the European Union and to China, reachable institutions, and a location that puts four regions within a short flight. Our reading of that position is European, because that is where the firm's training and its second practice sit.

Victor Gogoladze, founder of Maison Gogoladze

Founder

Victor Gogoladze

Franco-Georgian economist

Victor Gogoladze is a Franco-Georgian economist, born and raised in France and trained there. He read economics and finance at the Toulouse School of Economics, one of the leading institutions in the discipline.

He has worked at the National Bank of Georgia on macroeconomic and financial analysis, and holds a position within the Georgian government as Head of Protocol to a minister. That combination is the firm's core asset: he reads Georgian institutions from inside them, and European ones from the education that formed him.

It is why clients get an honest answer about how long something will take here, rather than the answer a brochure would give.

Partner

Giorgi Gogoladze

Expert-Comptable in France

Giorgi Gogoladze is an Expert-Comptable in France, based in Cannes. He brings French corporate and compliance expertise to the firm: accounting architecture, financial review, audit exposure and the administrative reality of operating a group that touches France.

For European clients this matters in a specific way. A structure that looks efficient from Tbilisi still has to survive its first reading by a French bank, a French auditor or a French tax administration. Giorgi reads it that way before it is built.

His practice is a regulated one and is held separately from the advisory firm. Where a mandate requires regulated work, it is placed with the qualified professional who is admitted to do it.

Scope

From a French corridor to four regions

France is where the firm's training and its second practice sit. It is a credibility asset, not the boundary of the business.

The firm began with a France and Georgia corridor, and that corridor remains the most developed one we hold. It is also the one that taught us what the work actually is: reading two institutional cultures at once, and translating between them without losing anything that matters.

That skill does not stop at France. The same reading applies between Georgia and Germany, between Georgia and the Gulf, between Georgia and China, between Georgia and the Maghreb. What changes is the counterparty, the pace and the expectations. What does not change is the method.

  • Europe, where our clients' auditors, banks and boards sit
  • The Middle East, where capital increasingly looks north for deployment
  • Asia, reached through Georgia's trade agreements and transit position
  • Africa, where sourcing and commercial corridors are being rebuilt

The corridors

How we hold a mandate

Principles

We say no

If Georgia is the wrong answer to your objective, we say so in the first conversation. A mandate that should not exist is expensive for both sides.

One principal per file

Mandates are not passed down to a junior after signature. The person who assessed the position runs it.

Written positions

Our view is given in writing, with the exposures we can see stated as plainly as the opportunities.

Regulated work is placed

We do not practise law, audit or accountancy. We coordinate with qualified professionals admitted in the jurisdiction concerned.

Discretion as standard

Client names, structures and transactions are not used as marketing. There are no case studies on this site for that reason.

Presence, not claims

Tbilisi, Cannes and Geneva are where we are. Everywhere else we work through relationships, and we describe them as such.
